For the survival of such an extraordinary extent of flower and faunal species in Jim Corbett National Park, water is a key element. The Ramganga river structures the most projecting hydrological asset, supplemented by tributaries, most noticeable of which are the Sonanadi, Mandal and Palain rivers. The river Kosi runs proximate to the Park and is additionally a major water asset for close-by ranges. Wildlife is reliant on streams, all the more so in the dry season, for they give drinking waters and additionally structures home to a few key sea-going species.
